1st CharIN India Conference: Enabling e-mobility in India by means of CCS, trendsetter to empower the EV ecosystem

Stakeholders of the Indian EV-market and experts from CharIN and EV-related industries will meet during the 1st CharIN India Conference, scheduled for May 11th, 2018 in New Delhi to discuss about the future of e-mobility in India powered by the Combined Charging System (CCS). This one-day conference offers technical speeches, a panel discussion and networking opportunities.

This 1st official CharIN event in India will take place in the India Habitat Center, New Delhi on May 11th, 2018. It is organized in cooperation with the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) as well as the VDA (the German Association of the Automobile Industry). The introduction will be made by the CharIN Global Managing Director André Kaufung and the Indian Managing Director Sivam Sabesan. The welcome note will be given by the First Secretary Industrial Affairs of the German Embassy in India.

The growing motorization in India and the increasing problem of air pollution make alternative mobility paradigms indispensable as they are the only way forward to an environmentally friendly development of the country. At the same time, the decision of the Indian Department of Heavy Industries to extend the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) program will certainly help this industry to move forward. With the governmental decision at its back, the CharIN India conference will happen at the right moment and boost even more the growth of the Indian electric vehicle market, the EV charging infrastructure and the whole ecosystem powered by the Combined Charging System (CCS).

During the conference, Indian contributors as well as speakers from Asia and Europe, as for example the TÜV Süd, will discuss the future of e-mobility powered by CCS becoming the global standard for all charging battery-powered electric vehicles. The conference will include a panel discussion, technical sessions and a networking dinner in the evening.

The technical sessions will cover topics like conformance testing, PLC modem integration and grid issues with experts who will provide profound technical knowledge to the participants.

Among others, the Indian CharIN Steering Committee member Mahindra will be sharing their experience with e-mobility and the EV charging infrastructure powered by the Combined Charging System (CCS).
