CharIN Steering Committee confirms new members, approves projects and development strategy

The first CharIN Steering Committee Meeting this year took place on Wednesday, Feb. 27th in Berlin.

The 13 SC Members consisting of ABB, Adam Opel, Audi, BMW, Daimler, Ford, Mahindra, Mennekes, NXP, Phoenix Contact, Porsche, TÜV Süd and Volkswagen discussed the current projects of the five CharIN focus groups like high power charging for commercial vehicles and automated conductive charging.

 

Regional developments of the electro mobility market and the world wide roll out of the Combined Charging System like in India were another important part of the agenda.

 

Claas Bracklo and Michael Keller as the board members honored Oliver Stöckl and his contribution to the growth of the association. He attended the meeting for a last time and hands over the SC seat to Michael Heinemann his successor at Phoenix Contact E-Mobility.

 

The new member voting and confirmation of the six new members Easelink, Korean Smart Grid Association, Power Hydrant, Prysmian Group, Rewatt and Schunk opened the second part of the day in the afternoon.

 

The planning and organization of the CharIN joint member booth with over 270 m2 and 20 members showing their products and services at the EVS32 in Lyon, France runs smoothly. The SC members are already looking forward to this exciting event from May 19th to 23rd, 2019 with the CharIN General Assembly and the next SC meeting.
