“EcoG has become a member of CharIN to continue contributing to the international standardization for the reliable communication links as part of Combined Charging System (CCS), and bring EV charging onto next level” states Joerg Heuer, EcoG’s CEO & Co-Founder. EcoG plans to contribute to CharlN by sharing our experience, technology, ideas and actively participate in efforts to harmonize electric charging technology across the globe. As part of the ecosystem, we are collaborating with the startup VERISCO (also joining CharIN) on all matters of conformance and interoperability testing.
EcoG’s mission is to shape the future of electric charging by turning the hassle of charging into an embedded experience of daily life. We change the business model of EV charging by bringing the app economy onto charging infrastructure and make developing a service as easy as developing an app. Developers and charging industry now have a possibility to integrate charging into local businesses by creating apps and services with the EcoG platform and Application Programming Interface (API). For that EcoG provides the IoT Operating System for chargers supporting CCS, CHAdeMO, OCPP and common IoT protocols on the charger in the field. EcoG is an international startup operating in Munich (Germany) and Detroit (US) backed by TechStars and next47 (the independent investment arm of Siemens). It is part of the Volkswagen startup Incubator in Dresden.
