Therefore, the 8th International IEC/ISO 15118 & CCS Testing Symposium on April 19th & 20th in Shanghai once again was a successful event with over 200 participants battling it out to find and debug their ISO 15118 communication protocols.
Existing and future members are always eager to participate as it improves their product robustness and builds up a greater understanding of the present and future ISO15118 applications for electric vehicles among EVSE, EV, charging- and grid operators.
One of the key aspects for this symposium was the testing of Plug & Charge applications so that EV users will be able to charge their car without RF-ID, credit card or other payment methods. On top of that the Plug & Charge function allows for roaming among charging station operators which underlines the CCS target of a global charging standard for all users.
This Shanghai testing symposium was made possible thanks to Neusoft’s organisation and hosting of the event. The CharIN e.V. supported the event and its member Neusoft with the organization.
